What can I say?

One of the best performances I have seen in a long, long time from the team and that’s part of the key to our success today: we played as a team. Completely dominating the opposition who were by no means a weak team, we managed to keep fighting on with the desire to succeed and score goals and we were rewarded for our efforts.

Individual performances were enough to have qualified for player of the match last season which made choosing today’s very difficult indeed. Great performances from the entire team  and a contender for Goal of the Season from Zack Harvey: a short corner from Dan Brindle to Zack who had time to move towards into the penalty box before firing high into the corner of the net. It was also an excellent club debut for new signings Alex Maran and Lyle Probert.

Well done everyone! You’ve set a standard that we need to keep to for the rest of the season.

Maybe our brand new goals and nets helped lift the spirits? Who knows? It’s games like these that make me proud to be coaching the lads!

Thanks again to Michael Elvin for running the line for us.
